Job Carranza-Ocampo, 31, had about two kilograms of heroin as officers investigating drug distribution in the area conducted a search of his Ford F150 in a parking lot on Route 130 in Hamilton Township on Thursday, Feb. 17, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
Carranza-Ocampo, 31, also had $467 in cash, and a kilogram of fentanyl was found on the ground behind his truck, authorities said.
The combined street value of the substances was around $300,000, authorities said.
Carranza-Ocampo, of Melrose Park, Illinois, was charged with numerous narcotics-related offenses, including first- and second-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute.
A motion has been filed to detain Carranza-Ocampo pending trial, the MCPO said.
